Supervisor: Dr. Sean Cox

Profile: Kyle’s avid interest in environmental issues stemmed from undergraduate classes at McMaster University (Hamilton, ON). With curiosities in both ecology and sustainability, he completed his degree with equal weighting in both fields. During this time, Kyle worked with various water-related projects, including reviews of water quality testing with the McMaster Institute of Environment and Health, a beach grooming study with Environment Canada, and the launch of a public advocacy campaign with the Bay Area Restoration Council. Additionally, he completed an undergraduate thesis project about round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) eating patterns across clean and contaminated sites in Hamilton Harbour. Combined, these experiences led to a strong relationship with water issues, which Kyle wishes to expand by working with the Water Research Group and conducting research during his Masters degree in REM.
