Rupananda Widanage (rwa11@sfu.ca)
Ph.D. (Economics), M.Sc., Rural and Regional Development
Planning, the Asian Institute of Technology, B.A. and M.A. in Economics, Ph.D. Candidate, Rupananda joined REM in Fall 2007 to continue
his extensive academic career. Prior to entering REM, he worked as a Senior
Lecturer in economics at the Rupananda’s research interests include
economic valuation of environmental resources in developed and developing
countries, climate change and food security in developing countries,
bioeconomic modeling, and applied econometrics. His doctorate will focus on
the economic risk of biological invasion, examining the impacts of climate change on
invasive plant species in British Columbia’s rangelands. |
